Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian performer, singer-songwriter, and musician. She works primarily with Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah was raised to the same Anglo-Indian family at Arakkonam the capital of Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father works as a solicitor in the Madras High Court. She is the younger sister of a researcher assistant from Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah grew up near Chennai and attended National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea was a classical piano lessons at age eight, has been described as a "geek" and aspired to be a psychiatric nurse until her board exam in 12th grade. At age 10 she was in a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the foundation of her singing and music composing career. Also, she was a theatre artist in her college and appeared in several performances staged by The Madras Players and EVAM. She served as the head of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's career started with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She appeared in the leo coffee commercial with Shiva. She also acted as a part of a character in the Podhigai series. She has performed all over India. She performed a very brief performance in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the finale. When she sang a tune for Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu she was asked to appear as one of the lead female characters in his upcoming project Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed with Andrea as Kalyani a homemaker her husband who is caught in an affair and is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was approached after Simran Shobana's death and Tabu. The film came out in the early 2010s.
